Scottie Scheffler promised his wife he would never let golf come between him and his family. In fact, the American admitted that if it ever hurt that relationship, then that would be “the last day I play out here for a living.”

The two-time Masters champion is aiming for his third green jacket this weekend at Augusta National. Scheffler won his two major titles in Georgia in 2022 and 2024, allowing for superstitious fans to claim he will win another on the ‘even year’ of 2026.Scottie Scheffler

Scheffler and wife, Meredith, announced they had welcomed their second child just before the Masters – another son called Remy. The couple already have a young son called Bennett and they now complete a foursome family.

The golfer questioned his day job before the Open Championship last year and admitted that while he’s “blessed,” the sport will never affect his private life.

Scheffler said: “I’m blessed to be able to play golf, but if my golf ever started affecting my home life or it ever affected the relationship I have with my wife or my son, that’s going to be the last day that I play out here for a living.
