Why Francis Ngannou Sets Sight On Jake Paul After Signing With MVP

Jake Paul has signed former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou to MVP for an MMA fight. After leaving the UFC, Ngannou has had just one MMA fight in PFL and two boxing fights against the likes of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Jake Paul vs Francis Ngannou the MEGAFIGHT!!!

Considered to be the baddest man on the planet, Ngannou has been the talking point for quite some time. Recently, it was announced that Ngannou was released from PFL, and fans wondered what his next move could be.

Now, it has been announced that the former UFC heavyweight champion will be taking on Philipe Lins on May 16th. The fight will serve as the co-main event for MVP’s first MMA event, which will be headlined by Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.

The event will take place live at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, USA, and will be streamed on Netflix. Interestingly, ahead of his fight, Ngannou has opened up about his intentions moving forward.

Francis Ngannou claims he wants to knock out Jake Paul

In a world where everything seems possible, Jake Paul has gone from being a YouTuber to a professional boxer. During his career so far, he has fought big names like Anthony Joshua, Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and more.

For those unaware, before Paul’s fight against Anthony Joshua was announced, Francis Ngannou was approached by his team for a fight. However, the former UFC heavyweight champion declined the opportunity, stating it was ‘below him’.

Now, the situation seems different, and it looks like he might be ready to take ‘The Problem Child’ on. As Ngannou’s partnership with MVP sparks new talks, he suggested that he might eventually fight Paul.

“MVP is the promoter, so who knows, maybe this means I’m one step closer to knocking out Jake Paul too,” said Ngannou.

It is worth noting that Jake Paul has been out of action since his KO loss against Anthony Joshua. Moreover, his return is not due anytime soon because of suffering a double jaw fracture during the fight.

That said, it remains to be seen if Paul vs Ngannou is something that could happen down the line. However, it certainly shouldn’t be ruled out.
